My 5 Star Books
You weren't supposed to find this... but now that you are, here are some books that I really like.
- 1984 — Classic dystopian. The world stays with you long after you finish reading.
- That Peckham Boy — Close to home (literally).
- Long Walk to Freedom — Not a boring autobiography, it was incredibly immersive and I felt like I knew Mandela personally by the end.
- Things Fall Apart — Deepened my understanding of the history and culture of my home country
- The Autobiography of Malcolm X — Historical figure. It is important to learn about people who fought for freedoms we often take for granted.
- Thinking, Fast and Slow — Exposes many biases I didn't know I had.
- Algorithms to Live By — Four years of computer science degree brought to life.
- Antifragile — Philosophy, Maths, Stoicism, and History somehow rolled into one. Challenged assumptions I held and reframed how I think about uncertainty.
